Salad + Sangria

Happy Saturday night! How is your weekend going so far?

My work day was non-stop from the moment I walked in the door…setting up for our weight loss surgery seminar, keeping an eye on the wellness center happenings, lifeguarding, working at the wellness front desk…busy- which was good. I stopped for a few minutes to have a Greek salad and a chicken frontega panini from Panera Bread for a quick lunch at my desk.

When I got home from work this afternoon, I felt wiped out. And Anthony had been working out in the yard all day, so he was ready to relax a bit too – we got into our bed of cool sheets and took an amazing nap. I so rarely get to take naps, but my body needed it and wanted it. I stayed in bed a little too long, but it was worth it.

We decided to go out for dinner at Macaroni Grill tonight (thanks to a nice birthday gift card from Anthony’s parents). We started with their amazing bread and olive oil…and I had just what I’ve been craving…red sangria- it was perfect. Dinner was a wilted spinach and scallop salad with prosciutto and garlic (huge whole cloves of garlic- no vampires tonight!) and lemon and olive oil dressing…dinner was amazing.

After dinner, we had a good visit with Anthony’s parents…and now that I’m home, I think my bed is calling my name again. Time to spend a few minutes with the dogs and head to bed for a good night’s sleep.
