Up Before the Sun + Q & A

HPIM2310

Good morning! I’m up early (for me) with an attempt to get out the door by 6:15! Today is our 2nd smoothie sale at work, we held one a few weeks ago and it was very successful, so we’re trying it again. It is a fundraiser for the walk that our Weight Management Center is sponsoring in September. Proceeds go to our hospital foundation to be used for the benefit of our patients. So, breakfast was relatively light as I needed something quick and I know that I’ll probably have a smoothie in a couple of hours. I had 1 1/2 Trader Joe’s 5 seed almond bars + almond butter + blackberries – I love these bars!

A couple of people have asked what flat-out wraps are…I love these wraps – they’re a great source of fiber and protein. I find them in my grocery store’s bakery/bread section.

I’ve also had some questions about my pesto that I use often….I would love to tell you it’s homemade, but it isn’t…it is Buitoni’s brand and it is so delicious and easy that it is one of the go-to products that we almost always have in our fridge.

Gotta run- smoothies are calling! Have a great Friday!

I love flatout wraps too! my grocery store just starting carrying them!

  2. I’m a huge fan of the Flatout wraps. I have not had them in a while, but I recommend them to my clients at times.

  3. A smoothie sale sounds like such a great fundraiser! Take pictures 😀

I tried the flat-outs when someone sent me a pack and liked them a lot. I use Joseph’s flax and oat bran lavash wraps which I LOVE and Damascus bakery roll-ups…all pretty similar nutritionally to flat-outs and worth checking out if you see them!

    Enjoy your day 🙂

  4. Good luck with the smoothie sale!

  11. Buitoni is my favorite pesto also! Honestly, it tastes better than any pesto I’ve had, even homemade!

  12. I literally stare at those TJs 5 seed bars for about 5 whole minutes every time I go there wondering if they are worth getting–looks like they are!
