Plums 2 ways

Do you ever have days that you feel tired for no real reason? Today was one of those days for me. I came home from work this evening and have been in relaxation mode all night.

Lunch today was leftovers from last night’s chicken fajita wraps + one of the juiciest plums I’ve ever tasted.

Plus, 3 dried plums…I love these things.

Today was a busy and productive day at work and tomorrow promises to be more of the same. I got a “homework” snack this afternoon. Last week, I shared a photo of the cake our office manager Michelle made for her cake decorating class. Well, this week, her homework was to make a graduation cake for herself as she graduated from Course 1 of the program. Yay Michelle! I was lucky enough to have a small slice…as I said last time, I’m not a huge cake fan, but this one was delicious…Michelle is a great baker!

This evening, dinner was simple – whole wheat pasta with meat sauce, garlic bread with pesto, and salad.

I think I’m going to turn in early and try to catch up on rest. Hope you’ve had a good Thursday.

  1. Yesterday was also my rest day but today I’m not a 100% too well due to lack of sleep. The evening run will depend on how I’ll feel later. If rest is what I need, so be it.
    Rest well, Angie.
Do you make your own pesto? They often make an appearance in your meals and always look delicious.

It must be so fun to take a cake-decorating class…I wish someone in my office would take one so I could be a taste-tester 😉

  4. I love those sunsweet plums! Your dinner looks so filling!

    Hope you get good rest!

  5. We have had some delicious plums lately… And I love prunes…

  6. i feel like i’ve had a lot of days when i can’t figure out why i’m tired…usually days when i haven’t done a thing!

  7. I love homemade baked goods! I can turn down store bought cake any day (unless it’s from Whole Foods–seriously good stuff!) , but homemade is just too yummy 🙂
