Lazy Sunday Morning

Good morning!!

We started our morning slowly…sleeping in until about 8:45 – it was so nice. I got up and started some coffee and pretty soon, Michael and Anthony both rolled out of bed.

As I’ve said, Michael is the “host with the most”! He had stocked up the fridge with a variety of breakfast foods for today. I don’t often have bacon or sausage, but to me, every once in a while, it is a special treat!! We had veggie omelets with salsa, bacon, sausage, and whole-wheat biscuits (with yummy raspberry jam)…enjoyed outside on the patio – a perfect start to the day!

And, then Michael brought out the Sriracha – I’ve only tried it a couple of times before, but I added it a bit to my eggs and it was delish!!

We might try to get in a little walk around Michael’s neighborhood, or we might just relax for a bit….Anthony and I have to leave in a couple of hours to meet his parents for a late lunch, and then we’ll be back in the car heading home.

Weve had such a fun time at Michael’s – hopefully he’ll come visit us soon so that we can repay the hospitality.

2 quick questions for today:

1. Do you use Sriracha often? What is your favorite way to use it?

2. I picked up these Amazing Grass packets yesterday at Whole Foods….Have you tried them? What did you think?? Do you have best suggestions on what to add to the mix?

  1. Sriracha aka rooster sauce is my go to hot sauce. I use it on way to many things to list 😀

  2. Love the morning coffee pic in the garden, I love that first cup in the outdoors 🙂

I’m off to check out that salad recipe now, thanks 🙂

  3. It looks so beautiful outside! And I love your mug 🙂

I’d love to try these Amazing Grass thingies, but I would have to order them online as I haven’t really found any where I live (although there are similar products). Can’t wait to see what you think of them though 🙂

  4. I wish we had some of that nice weather over here. Your morning shot looks beautiful 🙂

  5. I’ve never heard of Sriracha before, but it sounds cool. I don’t use hot sauce very often, though.

I loved the chocolate superfood mixed with almond milk. I tried the berry one straight with water, and it was gross! I’d definitely suggest using your regular green superfood powder in a smoothie, and not just with water 🙂

  6. I’ve never used that hot sauce before, I usually use red hot. I use it on eggs all the time, but also pizza and even burgers! I love hot sauce, I couldn’t live without it.

As for the Amazing Grass, I’ve never used it either. I have seen it on SO many blogs though, so I can’t wait to see what suggestions you get!

  7. Thanks so much for sharing the macaroni salad recipe. Memorized all 10 ingredients already and am excited to try it.
Have never tried that sauce before but I think I’ve seen it in the groceries.

  8. I’ve seen that sauce in asian restaurants, I think. So, you might try it with a stirfry or some rice?

I haven’t tried amazing grass, eager to hear your take on it.

I love sriracha sauce! Soooo spicy!

I put hot sauce on most things, and sriracha is great in stirfrys or on noodles. T and I got sushi recently where they put little dots of sriracha on top of each piece…super hot! I’ve also tried it on pizza 🙂

  10. I love Sriracha; I love spicy food so I like to add it to pretty much anything: fried rice, potato skillets, eggs, soups….
