Out and about in Nashville

What a beautiful day in Nashville!! When I woke up this morning, it was 66 degrees – amazing on a July day in the South!

Anthony does some contract work for the military, which he was doing today, so he had to be up and out the door by 6 am this morning. I got to sleep a couple more hours and woke up at 8:00 – we were staying right across the street from Centennial park, which is a beautiful place to walk/jog – so I threw on some clothes, grabbed a cup of coffee and went for an hour walk around the park.

Centennial Park is the home of the Parthenon, from 1897…

It was such a beautiful park….

I so enjoyed walking for an hour by myself…just people watching. It was so relaxing.

After my walk, I headed back to the hotel and had a quick, pre-breakfast snack.

After a quick shower, my friend Michael picked me up at the hotel and we went to Fido for a delicious breakfast/brunch. I chose the Euro eggs, basically Eggs Benedict with hash browns and fruit- it was so delicious, I finished my whole plate!

After our breakfast, we sat outside and enjoyed our coffee while people-watching and chatting – we were in such a cool area with neat little shops. We also walked around another great shopping area and found…..

I loved Whole Foods, we had so much fun!! I got a couple of Amazing Grass packets to sample….and we mostly just browsed around. I had a yummy carrot/apple/ginger juice while we walked….

We spent a little time at Macy’s – I am such a horrible shopper – I left empty-handed- I need a personal shopper or something!!

And, then hit up Trader Joe’s – I stocked up on almond butter, preserves, a couple of different sauces, some new cereals (thanks for the suggestions), and some fun things for my friend Tammye!

Looking forward to a fun dinner at Michael’s, some frozen drinks, and maybe some board games. Have a great Saturday night!
