Craving Oats

Anthony and I are both not morning people- we like our sleep. But, we also enjoy having our workout in early…so this morning, we were up at 5:30 and to the gym! I’m so proud of us!

I was already thinking about breakfast while I was on the treadmill. I was craving gooey, chocolatey, almond buttery oats….when I got home – I found an almost empty oats container…not enough for a real bowl, and definitely not enough for both Anthony and me. So- plan B is my favorite cereal combo- Special K with chocolate, Kashi Honey Sunshine, strawberries, and almond butter….even though it wasn’t my first choice, it was perfect.

How is your Thursday? I feel like the week is flying by….almost the weekend.

  1. Kudos for making it to the gym that early! I hate it when I go for something in the pantry and find an empty container 😦 booo! But your cereal combo sounds great – chocolate is awesome anytime of day 😉

  4. I wanted oatmeal this morning and had to have cereal (because of time) too. Boo. 😦 I love cereal, but I reallllly don’t like to eat it in the morning. No idea why. Good job on your early workout. I love those.

  5. WELL DONE! I too plan to get in one morning workout per week – it’s my new goal. It means getting up at 5 am, but it brings rewards! Your brekkie looks yum! Does the AB dissipate into the milk?

    Well done for waking up early. I love working out first thing but sometimes my bed is just too warm! Especially in winter. I can’t believe it’s nearly Friday!! This week has gone so quickly. Enjoy the rest of your week 🙂

  9. Great job! I usually work out after work but I’d like to try at least once a week in the morning since I wake up around 5AM these days. What would be a quick pre-bfast pre-run food? Will half a banana be okay? Thanks!
