Jack and the Beanstalk

Our tomato plants remind me of this story!

Anthony and I planted our first garden ever this year. Here’s what it looked like when we planted it on April 26…..

Here are our tomato plants today….

They have grown so big (over 5 feet tall!) that Anthony transplanted a couple into buckets to make more room…hopefully they will survive…we have tons of green tomatoes growing! Can’t wait until they are ripe.

Today has turned into a pretty busy day…I’ve been working on cleaning and laundry…Anthony mowed the lawn and worked on the garden….and did a bit of grocery shopping. He brought home these beautiful flowers for me. I am a lucky girl!

For a quick lunch, I had a tomato and cheese sandwich with some Food Should Taste Good sweet potato chips…oh my gosh- I love these chips!!

I just bought these yesterday for the first time, and I am in love! I can’t wait to try some of the other flavors.

We’ve also been working on getting prepped for dinner- we’re having a Father’s Day dinner for my dad and Anthony’s dad…the menu:

  • beef tenderloin
  • shark steaks (yes, really)
  • marinated, roasted veggies
  • baked sweet potatoes
  • salad
  • Anthony’s homemade apple dessert!

Should be a great night!! Enjoy your Saturday!
