Good morning!

Thanks for your great comments on last night’s Intuitive Eating post. Great point, Amy and Andrea – about craving certain foods more during pregnancy. I think that really reinforces the idea that forced restriction of certain foods can definitely cause more intense cravings. The good thing is, during pregnancy at least- it is for a temporary time….but I like Andrea’s idea of finding a close substitute – like veggie sushi. Of course, there are certain medical conditions where certain foods must be limited or restricted – and finding a close substitute is probably the best you can do in those situations. But, Intuitive Eating, to me, really is more about letting go of the idea of restricting for the purpose of dieting/weight loss. I’d love to hear more of your thoughts.

Breakfast this morning was oats with banana, strawberries, dark chocolate chips, and almond butter. An excellent start to the day- with a cup of hazelnut coffee with cream that my sweet husband made….

  1. Thanks for your nice words on my blog. Blogging (well, actually READing blogs) has been very inspirational/helpful to me, and I definitely will read Intuitive Eating. It’s on my list anyway. Your breakfast was the same as mine. Looks like we’re set for the day.

  2. what a beautiful breakfast to start your day!

  3. happy Thursday Angie!

I missed yesterday’s post but am catching up now- I am trying to eat more intuitively but it’s so much harder than it sounds in theory after so many years of a certain mentality/attitude towards food/my body. My biggest difficulty is trusting my body to let me know what it wants, when and how much. Definitely a work in progress!

    enjoy your day 🙂

  4. I love your breakfast! What a yummy combo

  5. I love how oatmeal goes with everything from sweet to savory. When the chocolate chips are added in, it’s almost like eating dessert!

  6. Hi Angie,
Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. I look forward to reading yours.
