Home Sweet Home

We have had a great vacation, but I could not be more excited to be home!

Our last morning at the beach started around 7:00 and I fueled up for our long day with a cereal combo of Kashi Honey Sunshine and Special K Chocolate with half a banana and some almond butter.

After a few minutes goofing around with Owen on the balcony…

I took one last picture of our view…

And, we finished packing and headed out for our long drive home…

Lunch today was on the run from Wendy’s…I had a grilled chicken sandwich and fries…I’ll be glad to get back to more normal healthy eating this week.

We finally arrived home at about 5:00 – Anthony went right to work on mowing the lawn…I unpacked, started laundry, and headed to the grocery store. Since we were tired, and had nothing planned – dinner was takeout from a great local restaurant, Puleo’s. I had one of my favorite meals from there, the Greek grilled chicken salad…it was delicious!

I can’t wait to sleep in our own bed tonight! And, I’m looking forward to getting back to my normal, simple eating routine. Hope you’re having a great weekend!

  1. What a delicious breakfast, and dinner! The last day of vacation is always bittersweet. I’m glad you had a great trip and made it home safely 🙂

  2. I love your breaksfast. Does the almond butter dissolve or what? My mom eats peanut butter in her cereal and I can’t figure it out. lol.

  3. I’m glad you had such a nice vacation. While it’s always a little sad when a vacation comes to an end, I love the feeling of being home… 🙂

Your Greek salad looks awesome! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  4. Welcome back!!
    Have a great Sunday 🙂

  5. The Mister and I divy the post-vacation chores the same way too! The part about you guys returning home, and the first thing Anthony does is mow the lawn and you start unapcking, doing laundry, etc…. is the same things we do! I don’t care that the lawn looks like a mess, but my husband does. And I hate it when dirty clothes sit in the suitcases , but the husband doesn’t mind. 🙂

    Glad you arrived home safely!

  6. glad you are home safe and sound! It’s a treat to go on vacation and eat wonderful things, but it is so nice to come home and be back on your regular eating schedule. Sometimes eating out too much makes me sick! Sure hope all goes well with the surgery 🙂
