Today was our last full day of vacation…it is bittersweet- I’d love to stay here a little longer, but it is always nice to go home.
I started my day with and egg/veggie scramble, one small piece of bacon, and a biscuit with blueberry and blackberry preserves.
We spent the morning hanging out at the beach…it was fun to have everyone together…me, Anthony, Michael, Amy, Dave, and Owen….
Emma Kate was all smiles as usual.
And, Owen tried on my hat….
For dinner tonight, Anthony and I went to our favorite restaurant so far this week…the Divine Fish House…it was on a beautiful Marsh Walk…overlooking the water.
We started with the Inlet Seafood Spring Rolls – shrimp, scallops, and crab with a Vietnamese dipping sauce. Perfectly spicy and delicious!
And, we shared an iceberg wedge salad with cucumber, tomato, candied bacon, and artisan buttermilk blue cheese – again, perfect and delicious- this was my portion.
And, we also shared an entree – Island Spiced Grouper with Puerto Rican tostones, coconut cinnamon rice pudding and a yummy pineapple sweet potato mash….this is totally the best seafood meal we’ve had all week.
I love sharing meals because it allows you to try a variety of courses, without going overboard on portion sizes.
We were planning to go fishing on the pier tonight, but we decided to head back to the condo and try to get into bed at a decent hour. We’re leaving for the drive home after breakfast tomorrow morning.
