Drive-in Movie!

We have had a busy day, but productive….Anthony mowed the lawn and did some yardwork, I did some cleaning and laundry, we went grocery shopping, and got new tires for Anthony’s car…

In the middle of all that…I had one of the best cheese and tomato sandwiches ever! One of Anthony’s patients brought him fresh garden tomatoes…one of my favorite things…so good!

After grocery shopping, Anthony grilled some turkey burgers….

And, while he did, we nibbled on this great ripe golden pineapple…

Then, we had a great dinner of turkey burger pitas (still in the Ali Baba mode from last night)…roasted broccoli, and sweet potato fries…simple and perfect.

Now- we are going to do something different…we are going to a drive-in movie…something I’ve never done before. I’m excited! Have a great night!

  1. I love garden fresh tomatoes! They’re 1000 times better than store bought. Your dinner looks delicious, too. Have a fun night!

  2. Great idea putting the turkey burger in the pita!! I need to start buying pitas more..pitas and wraps are going on my list! I hope you enjoyed the drive-in movies, flashback of my childhood! The closest drive-in movie theater is about 45 minutes away from me, or I’d go a lot more! That’s so fun.

  3. Tomatoes from your garden…how lucky! It’s just the start of growing season here…and hubby planted about 12 tomatoe plants. Time to find some good sauce & canning recipes I think!!!

Love the drive-in too. A step back in time. Hmmm…I am going to check out what’s playing at ours. So fun!

  4. Drive in movies are so fun!! Hope you and your hubs had a great time 🙂

  5. thanks for the comment on my blog (especially because now I have found yours!)

Your food looks delicious- cheese + tomato us such a classic and delicious combination, and you can’t get better than fresh tomatoes! LOVE turkey bugers!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend 🙂

  6. Hi! Thanks so much for dropping by my blog!! To tell you the truth I’m always surprised that new people manage to stumble upon it!

I also love fresh tomatoes! I just bought myself a plum tomato plant, and just TODAY I noticed that some are actually growing! I sort of thought I had killed it…so all is good 🙂

Can’t wait to read more from your blog! 🙂
