Hey everyone! I hope you’ve had a great Thursday so far! Do the days seem like they fly by to anyone else?? There never seems to be enough time in the day lately!
For a snack this morning, I had one of my trusty favorites…Fage 2% with a drizzle of honey….when it comes to greek yogurts, I’ve tried others, but I keep coming back to Fage as my favorite…
For lunch I had a quick salad at the hospital cafe with Anthony…it was a nice treat, we work so nearby one another, but rarely have time to take a lunch break together, so it was a nice bright spot in my day.
And, I had to stop at the grocery store on my way home from work….it was a little later than usual and I was starving….I picked up a new Kashi bar that was really good….12 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber and tastes good- that’s a winner with me!
I was excited to come home and try a new recipe, courtesy of my friend Heather, who found this in Fitness Magazine….Warm Pasta Salad with Italian Turkey Sausage…I got lucky, because late this afternoon, I still didn’t have anything planned for dinner…I knew I needed to stop at the grocery store on the way home, but I was uninspired…so Heather showed me this recipe and I decided to give it a try. I changed a couple of things….1. I used zucchini instead of eggplant, and 2. I used fresh oregano instead of dried…oh- and I used whole wheat rotini instead of wagon wheels….

And, homemade dressing with fresh oregano from our herb garden…

And a salad with feta and kalamata olives…yum.
Anthony and I took a nice walk after dinner and now it is already time for bed! I need a few more hours…but, I’m trying to go to bed earlier with the intention of doing better with morning workouts!
