Good afternoon! Today’s plan is a little rest and relaxation before the start of the new week tomorrow.
This morning’s breakfast was a new cereal, Kashi Honey Sunshine…I was in the mood for simple cereal and I had picked this one up yesterday to try. It was really good- reminded me of Captain Crunch….and had 6 grams of fiber even though it tasted like a kids’ cereal…
With a yummy cup of hazelnut with cream that my sweet husband made for me.
Then, Anthony and I went to church, and I worked in the toddlers room during the 2nd service…it was wild today- we had 16 one-year olds!! Fun – but wild and loud!
Lunch was at a delicious Indian buffet….
House salad with a yummy cucumber dressing:
And, a plate with a taste of vegetable korma (potatoes, peas, peppers in a mild curry sauce), rice with shrimp malabari (delicious coconutty sauce), channa saag (spinach with chickpeas), butter chicken, and vegetable pakora….everything was delicious! And some yummy naan.
At buffets, I always try to limit myself to one plate and to just take the same size servings that I would normally eat- you have to be careful, though…it is so easy to go overboard at buffets!
And, a small serving of mango ice cream for dessert…so good!
Have a great afternoon…I think a short nap may be on my agenda.
