85th birthday

Wow- it seems like weekend days fly by….I can’t believe Saturday is almost over.

We left home around 12:30 this afternoon to drive to my parents’ for birthday cookout for my grandfather’s 85th birthday. On our way, we stopped for a quick lunch at Zaxby’s, which I’ve only been to a couple of times before, but it was right on our way and looked like it would be quick.

I got a grilled chicken house salad with buffalo sauce and a little blue cheese dressing….it was really good, and a slightly healthier version of buffalo wings (which I love!). I ate about half…

Then we got to my parents’ house and spent time hanging out with the family. I had fun spending time with Owen and Emma Kate again….Emma Kate had so much fun on her swing!

For dinner, we had a burger cookout. On my plate was a burger, baked beans, potato salad, some veggies, and my brother-in-law Dave’s homemade pickles.

And, a little later, some birthday cake with a little ice cream….

I spent a lot of time today feeding and playing with Emma Kate and playing outside with Owen…we were riding bikes and throwing frisbees….My grandfather even took a quick bike ride around the driveway…I was so impressed!

I hope you’ve had a great Saturday! I can’t wait to snuggle up in bed.

Goodnight!
